HOW TO GET A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP?

It’s a well known fact that a good sound sleep is the most essential thing for healthy living. But these days due to pressure and stress many people have trouble in getting sleep or staying asleep. They can try and follow some of the below;

  • Don’t toss and turn for longer than half an hour:get up and do something calming such as reading.
  • Develop a relaxing presleep ritual:have a glass of warm milk or herbal tea;read or take a warm bath.
  • Get treatment for any medical problems that may contribute to sleep troubles such as sleep apnoea and restless leg syndrome.

Some people use sleeping pills that are significantly safer than they used to be. But even the drug companies will tell that they are not for the use in chronic insomnia because they wont make you a better sleeper. It helps you fall asleep on the nights you take them, but you can develop a tolerance to them. They are safe for short-term use since they are less addictive in the past. The appropriate use of sleeping pills is for situational insomnia i.e a person who normally sleeps well develops insomnia because of an acute stress. But insomnia which lasts for more than a few weeks may signal the presence of a more serious problem. The effective way to it is to practice yoga daily.

WHY THE NAMES OF FEMALE?

Have you ever wondered the names of rivers as Ganga,Yamuna,Kauveri etc.? Or the names of natural calamities such as Katrina,Nisha etc given the name of women. In ancient times, men were astonished and slightly afraid of women because of the fact that she can separate another life from her own. This also made men to look upon women with respect. So when those natural things such as floods, earthquakes happened, or something which men couldn’t figure out that was mighty, creative or destructive at times,he named it as such. In hindu mythology, women were considered to be the reason behind creation and called her Shakthi i.e power. That is the reason why such unpredictable and mysterious happenings were given the name of females….

FIVE POINT SOMEONE

Chetan Bhagat’s Five Point Someone is a must read mainly for IITians. Not only for them it has to be read by every youngster. It is a fun-loving kind of book at the same time conveys very important messages of life. The greatness of this book is such that it doesn’t give advices but depicts real incidences on how life gets messed up if we aren’t cautious about it. The story revolves around three students, Hari Krishnan, Alok Gupta and Ryan Oberoi. It tells us how and what they were upto from day one till their last day in IIT campus as they come in the way of everything – friendship, love, their future. As IITians they are supposed to be the leaders in everything but they are quite opposite to it and turn everything Topsy-turvy. The title is nothing but their grades per average in the exams which used to be five out of ten always. The book is humorous but yet touching enough. Its written in an informal style of story telling and in simple English. Another interesting information is that this feel-good book is soon to be a movie. Its worth reading this enchanting book….

TIME TO KILL

‘Time To Kill’ by John Gris ham is a very gripping novel. It takes you through the thrilling ride by the unexpected twists and turns of the story. Everything starts when a eight year old girl was kidnapped, raped and brutally tortured by two criminals. The father of that little girl, unable to digest this, plans intelligently and kills them. Later he tries to come out of jail through his lawyer. Eventhough it was shown clearly that his lawyer will use the loophole ‘insanity’ in the law to bring him out,its not boring, but still exhilarating to read on. Gresham also brings out the discrimination between black and white people prevalent in a country where majority of them are white. Throughout the novel, many happenings takes place in the court as the story revolves around the case. So how that poor girl’s dad gets released out of the crime is the story all about. And the happy ending is well finished. All the chapters are well knitted to give a great novel. Its worth reading it!

Nayanthara - The Queen of Kollywood

This is one of the most renowned and highly favored post that is designed for Nayanthara’s fans. Nayanthara is a famous and sought after south Indian actress who has smitten the hearts of millions by her chubby and gorgeous look and by her distinctive roles in movies.

Is it true that Nayanthara is the Queen of Kollywood? Yes, people are sometimes referring Nayanthara as queen of kollywood.

At just the age of 21 years, Keralite Nayanthara has acquired the reputation of acting opposite male actors who are almost twice as old. She starred in her first Malyalam film opposite Jayaram, and then in "Chandramukhi" with distinguished Indian actor Super Star Rajnikanth, then with other aging actors like Sarath Kumar, Mohanlal, and Mammotty. Now she has been cast to play the lead role in a much younger Simbu's directorial debut, in which he also has the lead role. Nayanthara and Simbu's intimate life-sized posters created shock waves in Chennai, which were subsequently pulled down by the police. Similar excitement resulted when glamorous life-sized posters were posted all over Chennai - this time with her co-star S.J. Surya.

The gorgeous beauty has the ability to perfectly combine her histrionic talents with her sexy looks, great figure, and zestful bubbly nature to captivate the audiences with her mere presence on the screen. She is a big star in South India and currently has slew of movies lined up along side big South Indian male stars. With her attractive looks and talent, it is no wonder that she is one of the most popular actresses in the Tamil film industry.

Kamal Haasan planning to remake Vikram

At present, Kamal is spotted to be so isolated with his most expected ‘Marmayogi’ getting shelved. Mean while, some of the sources of Kamal Haasan have revealed that the actor has been planning to remake one of his previous films itself. VARANAM AAYIRAM - ROCKING THE THEATERS

Varanam Aayiram - Surya's new film influence all the younger generation. This is the journey of a man Surya from his childhood boy to a ambitious young man through many phases who was guided by his father Krishnan. The young boy Surya takes inspiration from his Dad and he faces ups and downs in life. He is guided by his dad in all his phases and His Dad remains as his one source of motivation through out.He looses his love Meghala and puts a halt for his life with drugs. He gets rehabilitated and turns a inspiring Military officer and meets Priya. The movie carries a grim mood through out which makes every body to react for it.It is a emotional movie and there are some very touching scenes which you dont see it often in a father and son relationship.

Goutham Menon has most definitely missed the plot with 'Varanam Aayiram' giving more emphasis to incidents rather than connecting them well. The story follows the lead characters (the protagonist and his father) through decades. Much effort has been taken to bring out authenticity to the 'period' effect which is praiseworthy. The story is narrated through montage sequences – the time his father had met his mother in college (as told to him by his mother) and the innovative way he had made known his love for her – his birth and the way he had always looked up to his dad as a real hero – his sister's birth and the happy little family that they were – his peek at adolescence – his misadventures and the moment he was engulfed by the electric sensation of love etc.Suriya's adolescent days come across as a breath of fresh air. The antiques he indulges in once he sees Megna (Sameera Reddy) on a night train and his train of thought that goes on in his mind to woo her, gets across to the audience very well.
All the songs rock the theaters heavily making a strong impression of Harris Jeyaraj's name. He has made a very good effort in giving nice songs which tie all generation people.Harris Jayaraj has rendered a beautiful set of songs with this film. The Background score is good in patches and compliments the brilliant cinematography by Rathnavelu. The cinematographer needs special mention for a refreshing tone which he has infused especially in the youthful sequences.Suriya the actor rocks throughout. The variety of emotions he has portrayed is very good and a strong mention has to be made about his good looks and charm. He looks unbelievably like a person in his early twenties in some sequences that require him to be so. Something very few actors can really do.
Varanam Aayiram is worth watching and Im sure lovers will enjoy the escence of love in this film. On the Whole Varanam Aayiram simply Rocks !!!!

LOVE

Love is the universal language spoken between two hearts. Not a single person can exist without knowing the wonderful feeling of love. When we are small kids, our mother showers her love on us. When we grow up, our father also shows his love for us. Right from the day we are born till this moment, they are the only souls whose love is unconditional. If we grow pets, they show so much love on us. Love is the language of the hearts. The Valentines day celebrated on February 14th is a mark of the respect people have for love. Love is a feeling controlled by the heart. Only your true love can understand your silence while everybody else will ponder over the meaning of your words. Love makes our life beautiful and worth living. Just a hug from them can comfort us to the greatest extent. Their words can heal the deepest wounds in our heart. All love needs is a caring heart for a crying heart. Just being with them will make us forgot the world around us. We feel the world is empty without them. Just their smile is enough to make us crazy. Even though we don’t get a proper reciprocation for our love, we never hate them. We will never say that they broke our heart. But we praise them for teaching us as to how to live with a broken heart. Love is when you fall asleep in their arms and wake up in their dreams. Love is nothing but a little amount of sacrifice and a great amount of understanding. Love is the only feeling which brings out the emotions in us, which we are not even aware of. Love is simply out of bounds for any explanation.

FINAL YEAR TOUR

College life is very memorable and pleasant to anyone and everyone. The most unforgettable things about the college life are its tour. We went for a north India tour in our final year. We started on September 17, 2007. The tour lasted for ten days and we were back on 26th of September. We covered Delhi, Agra and Kullu-Manali. We had so much fun on those days. The two day train journey, the places we visited, the hotels we stayed, everything was fun and has been imprinted in my brain forever. Our first destination was Agra. It’s the city of the beautiful and breath taking Taj Mahal, the symbol of love and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Its beauty stands second to none. Our next visit was the Agra Fort. The big fort is a must visit place. Its carvings and architecture just take your breath away. Our next visit was Kullu Manali. It’s a place full of beautiful streams. You can see water running everywhere surrounded by greenery. Mother nature smiles everywhere in that place. We had the privilege of eating shimla apples which we plucked right away from trees. We visited Rohtang pass and Hadhimbha temple there. Its one of the most romantic hill stations in the country. Its chilling climate and snow caped mountains were a thrill for us. Next we went to delhi, where we visited many places. We shopped in Carol Bagh to our heart’s content. We traveled in the metro train, went to the Red Fort, Birla Mandhir, Qutb Minar and many other places. These are a must visit places for everyone who want to relax their nerves and chill out a bit. The fun we had during the train journey was beyond everything. We never had the heart to depart when the tour came to an end. Its memory will always be fresh and pleasant whenever we think of our college life.

SAIBABA’S THOUGHTFULL PREACHINGS

It is my next post about Sainath depicting his precious thoughts about all the living creatures.
Laxmibai Shinde was working in the Masjid where Sathguru Saibaba was residing.Once while Baba was sitting in the Masjid in the evening, Laxmibai came and saluted Baba. The latter said to her - "Oh Laxmi, I’m very hungry”.Off she went saying - "Baba, wait a bit, I return immediately with bread".She did return with bread and vegetables and placed the same before Baba. He took it up and gave it to a dog. Laxmibai then asked - "What is this, Baba, I ran in haste, prepared bread with my own hands for You and You threw it to a dog without eating a morsel of it; You gave me trouble unnecessarily".Baba replied - "Why do you grieve for nothing? The appeasement of the dog's hunger is the same as mine. The dog has got a soul; the creatures may be different, but the hunger of all is the same, though some speak and others are dumb. Know for certain, that he who feeds the hungry, really serves Me with food. Regard this as an exiomatic Truth".This is a ordinary incident but Baba thereby propounded a great spiritual truth and showed its practical application in daily life without hurting anybody's feelings. From this time onward Laxmibai began to offer Him daily bread and milk with love and devotion. Baba accepted and ate it appreciatingly. He took a part of this and sent the remainder with Laxmibai to Radha-Krishna- Mai who always relished and ate Baba's remnant prasad. This bread-story should not be considered as a digression; it shows, how Sai Baba pervaded all the creatures and transcended them.

Hotels Combined - NO.1 in Hotel Price Comparison!

For families, business travelers, and other jet setters, the most familiar names in the budget travel game are Trip Advisor and Expedia. The web sites have been on the cutting edge of the online travel planning industry over the last five years. However, Trip Advisor and Expedia should look out as HotelsCombined.com is pushing them for the lead in the hearts and minds of world travelers.

HotelsCombined.com is more focused on hotel reservations at destinations around the world than Expedia and Trip Advisor. While these other sites provide general travel planning for the budget conscious, HotelsCombined.com is a specialty site that allows travelers to find the best deals on hotel rooms in places all over the world. Hotels combined is the only free tool that searches more websites, booking a hotel at the same time, to help you find the lowest rate instantly. Why search several hotel reservation websites one by one when you can compare prices from top hotel websites in one click! Hotels Combined is a price comparison service that searches other hotel websites and compares prices. You can search according to city, country or hotel name entering your desired check in and check out dates as well. It also provides complete hotel information and reviews. This free service is an amazing economy of time and money!

Hotels combined education support is a good place for anyone associated with tertiary educational institutions worldwide. The hotelscombined's page is simple yet very catchy and very much userfriendly. The more simple the easier it will be for the surfers to browse through the page which in my opinion is the best thing about a web page.Planning a weekend has never been easier or more affordable than it is now with the accessibility of online hotel reservations. Convenience, competitive prices, and easy to compare make online hotel booking popular with almost every customer, from planning a long vacation to those in need of an affordable weekend away.

HotelsCombined.com features over 200,000 hotels in 20,000 destinations across 195 countries with over 900,000 hotel deals. To summarize my experiences, I must admit that Hotels Combined is more user-friendly and provides a detailed hotel search within the system.Check for yourself and see the difference!

Most gem scholars agree that the tradition of birthstones arose from the Breastplate of Aaron: a ceremonial religious garment set with twelve gemstones that represented the twelve tribes of Israel. Many found a correspondence with the twelve signs of the zodiac. In later times, the stones became associated with the twelve months of the year and many believed that the stones possessed power when worn or owned. Thus, the tradition of giving and wearing birthstones began! Let we see briefly the birthstone for different months.

January - Garnet
February - Amethyst
March - Aquamarine
April - Diamond

HOW DID BICYCLES COME INTO USE? LETS FIND OUT

Riding bicycles that are geared models or fancy ones with electric horns, lights etc are considered fashionable by kids, especially the school students. But we dunno how far they know what its invented for and its history. Bicycles were invented by Kirkpatric Mcmillan. Being a black smith, he had to find out a way of delivering his orders to the customers. A cart was too fussy to use ,and personal delivery of the material was impossible. So he used the cart wheels and light bar between to hold them in place,so giving an efficient and lighter option. This scientific marvel has a high impact on global hazards in a good way. Cycling is also proved to be good for hearts, providing a healthier reason to use it too.

SANSKRIT- AN ETERNAL LANGUAGE

SAMASKRITHAM,a very old and traditional language of our country,is one of that which is on par with our culture. This language full of life and substance is now in its detrimental path.It is said that our whole body functions to the sounds of the Sanskrit letters. Sanskrit literates say that ,by using this language in our daily life brings our mind and soul into our control and gives a new breath of freshness to our body. Hence everyone should make efforts to learn it and get the benefits of this fastabulous language given by our ancestors.Even Vivekandar has once said that “Right from the layman to the literate people, everyone should learn this language;because the pronunciation of sanskrit words themselves give such strength and dignity to us”.Samskritha Bharathi,is one of the organization that’s trying hard to inculcate and spread the goodness of this language. It is continuously conducting spoken Sanskrit classes everywhere. So if you happen to come across such an offer try to make the best use of it. Spare some time to it ;the time and effort put into learning this language will definitely create a difference in our lives which has become more mechanical these days.Talking about the richness of this language alone doesn’t help to improvise the language. Hence ‘the language should not be spoken about ,but should be spoken’. Mainly youngsters must start learning and develop this language in a way that they can help survive the language in the years to come.

BENEFITS OF BRUSHING TWICE DAILY

Recently am going as a promoter for the Pepsodent’s free dental campaign. There I used to brief kids about the benefits of brushing twice a day. But I feel, its not a habit to be followed only by kids. It is really the most compelling habit even for us. I know most of you would be brushing only once a day. But it is really a good habit to brush twice a day. The Pepsodent company has made a funny and humorous cartoon, which emphasizes the importance of brushing twice daily. The shocking news is that, in tamil nadu 83% of the kids under the age of 5 are affected by tooth cavity and tooth decay problems. So it’s a must to take care of our teeth. After all, a sparkling smile can make things work out. We can question as to why we should brush our teeth in the nighttime. But in the nighttime, only we take a nap. But the germs never sleep. So as we people know, it may pave way for tooth decay. The germs may put big holes in our teeth. Of course the after math is a painful experience to anyone who is experiencing the tooth decay problem. We will never be able to eat anything properly without accepting the pain, which accompanies it. So it is always better to brush your teeth twice. Once in the morning, as soon as you wake up. And once in the night when we go to sleep.

Inside a Cell Phone

On a "complexity per cubic inch" scale, cell phones are some of the most intricate devices people play with on a daily basis. Modern digital cell phones can process millions of calculations per second in order to compress and decompress the voice stream. But the basement of cellphones are simple gadgets.

If you take a cell phone apart, you find that it contains just a few individual parts:

* An amazing circuit board containing the brains of the phone

PARENTAL PRESSURE

The international report on ‘Parental Pressure’ says that its more in Asia specially in India. Its very sad to note that the students who score between 90 and 100 marks face this pressure much. Even though they get distinction you cannot see them happy. They are afraid that their parents will scold them for not getting 100%. Parental pressure is more among educated parents. They not only do that in academics but also in extra curricular activities. Students are overscheduled leading them to stress. There are more resources available now than before but that doesn’t mean we should use all of them. If parents stop this they can avoid many behavioural problems among students. They should realize this as the famous Persian poet Kahlil Gibran says ‘Your children are not your children, they are the sons and daughters of life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, and though they are with you, yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thought, for they have their own thoughts’.

AJITH THE ULTIMATE STAR EVER

One of the leading Hero in Tamil film industry is Ajith. He is my favorite actor but at the same time i like vijay due to his dancing style.Ajith inspite of his many defeats, he has established himself as a good actor and have given good films also.Recently in Aegan he has given his best and made himself best to suite to the character. In his film Billa, No doubt he was an handsome don even looked better than Sharuk, who performed the similar role in Hindi version of the film. His performance in Valli,Kadhal kottai and Billa is always memorable.
Apart from acting films he has proved himself to be a good champion in car races. He is doing many services, especially for the cancer patients. To my knowledge he was the first actor to donate huge amount of money to the families who lost their children in the kumbakonam fire accident. That is really nice to hear, because many actors do not do such services often. Now he is happy man, enjoying his life with his baby.I hope he will be establishing himself soon as unbeaten star in the Tamil film industry.

TEMPTATIONS

People provide a variety of temptations to various things. This temptation might be an inclination for an evil or for will. Temptations are nothing but the great desire that will develop a new spirit in us. Good temptations lead people to achieve great things. A good student is tempted so much that he learns voraciously to become one among the topper's list. It brings passion to achieve, which would drive away all the hindrances and which would make you think that every hindrance is a stepping stone to success. Just like two sides of coin, we must confess that temptations (bad) may even drive you to dreadful things. As a result, it makes a person,"hangdog". He can realise that his temptations towards dreadful things has dumped him in hell, only when he is at that state. Thus we must realize that we can always resist bad temptations. So let us take things in the right way.

WHY IS THE NUMBER 13 CONSIDERED UNLUCKY

The General feeling that the number '13' is unlucky is just a superstition. This number is considered unlucky in almost all the countries of the world. Even many hotels don't have a 13th floor. In some hospitals there is no bed bearing this number. Many people do not have 13 persons at a dinner table. Yet strangely enough there is no single accepted explanation for the origin of the superstition. According to some experts '13' was an unpopular number from the time man learned to count. By using his ten fingers and two feet as units, he could count up to 12. But beyond that, things were unknown and frightening to him.Whatever may be the reason of considering 13 as unlucky number, it has no specific basis. No number is lucky or unlucky. They are simply numbers, used in mathematical calculation.

INTERVIEW TECHNIQUES

Generally people evaluate one another using the Three V’s: VISUAL( appearance ), VOCAL (voice ) and VERBAL ( what you say). About 93 percent of a person’s communication effectiveness is determined by non verbal communication. According to study conducted by University of Toledo psychology professor, concluded that the first 30 seconds make or break the connection between two people when they meet for the first time. So the next time you’re on an interview, the interviewer may be drawing conclusions about you before you’ve even gotten to the real interview.

LETTER WRITING TIPS

It has been proven that polite, positive, informed letters work. They are easy, inexpensive and powerful. Here are some suggestions:
· Make your letter personal. Tell why you care about this issue.
· Say that you are writing in support of the local communities and organizations that are working to protect the environment.
· Include the specific points that are listed in the action.
· The addresses on your action are of equal importance. A brief, polite letter to each targeted official is more effective than a long letter to just one.
· Stick to the facts. One inaccurate statement, accusation, or innuendo can invalidate an otherwise excellent letter.
· Avoid political or ideological issues unless specifically recommended.
· Keep copies of responses you receive. In our Action Status we update past cases and often issue “follow-up actions” on ongoing concerns.

TENSION

Tension has so many aftereffects…find out how…….

The moment we are in “TENSION”
We will lose our “ATTENTION”
Then we are in total “CONFUSION” and feel “IRRITATION”
Then we may spoil our personal “RELATION”
Ultimately we wont get “CO-OPERATION”
Then we will find things in “COMPLICATION”
Then our BP may also rise to “CAUTION”
And we may have to take “MEDICATION”
Instead lets understand the “SITUATION”
And try to think about a “SOLUTION”
Many problems can be solved by “DISCUSSION”
Which will work better in our “PROFESSION”
Don’t think its my free “SUGGESTION”
It is only for our “PREVENTION”
If you understand my “INTENTION”
U will never come again to “TENSION”,,,

TEACHER-ENLIGHTMENT TO THE STUDENT

This is how one of a student sees a teacher:
The gifted one who is an antidote to the disease of ignorance. The teacher is the florist who gathers a variety of blossoms scattered all over, and strings them into a garland for the student’s heart. The teacher is the maestro who composes and sings the morning tune for the arousal of knowledge. The primary teacher is like the industrial worker going down to fetch up the ore. The high school teacher is he who separates the fibre of gold from the earth. The college teacher is the artisan who shapes the noble metal into a sparkling ornament. We almost spend one fifth of our lifetime under the care of the teacher. Should we not then put into practice all of that he taught us? The nerves in the body circulate life. Likewise circulation of knowledge is ensured by the master-nerve that is the teacher. The moon reflects and receives the light of the sun which is a star, but the moon still remains a planet. The student is different although he gets the light of knowledge from the teacher much as the moon does, he himself blossoms in process of time into a sun in his own right.

A SWEET TRUTH OF DARK CHOCOLATES

In recent times, heart diseases and diabetics are most common. Every other person is getting these in their middle ages and as everyone knows are hereditary in few cases. What if such persons are told that there is a easier way to reduce their risk factors of getting such diseases? Yes there is a good news for them…according to a new study it has been found that eating a small amount of dark chocolates every day for just two weeks are enough to cut high blood pressure and reduce the risk of diabetes, both major risk factors in heart attacks and strokes. But scientists have stressed that only dark chocolates.made from cocoa rich in natural ingredient flavanols,is good for the heart. In tests on 19 people, one half who ate just over 6grams a day over 15days showed significant falls in blood pressure. But half given white chocolates showed no results. Those on dark chocolates showed a significant decline from a high 142/90mm Hg to 137/87mm Hg. So those who read this please spread this valuable message and chocoholics now have a justified reason to carry on eating their favorites…

FACE VALUES OF OBAMA

Mr.Barrack Obama, the Democratic Presidential candidate of the U.S,as everyone knows, is one of the best and a gifted orator in the world. He has inculcated moral values and beliefs through the extraordinary diction, voice and modulation of his speeches. He is benign and also has a refreshingly austere personality by which he had won many people’s respect. But inspite of all these, analysis on his face values rather gives a very bizarre views upon him. In many a situations,Obama is sported having a stern look and sometimes having a doubtful face; he smiles only occasionally. The report says that this appearance of his, might seem to people that he is not confident of himself which is actually not the case. He has all the skills to do what he had vouched to do,but this fact might deter that and show it as pretentious. This implies that face values matter a lot, albeit we have great attitudes. So put up that beautiful smile of yours and be pleasant to whoever addresses you. This will improve your personality attached with a great fan following…..:)

THE POWER OF OM SHANTHI

The meaning of the word ‘Om Shanthi’ and its importance was said in a spiritual disclosure. I have given here the extract of it….
The word ‘Om Shanthi’ has three meanings in it. First, we all are peaceful souls. Secondly, we all are children of Supreme God. Third, this world is a temporary living place for souls. When we are tense,we want to reveal that tension somehow. For that we must add letter ‘A’ in front of the word tension,it becomes atension,so we will be careful in each thing that we do. If we do that it makes us and others happy and the tension goes away. Even though we don’t have any wordly relations, we all are children of God in soul. A human loves a person when he gets something from others. Like that we must have love and be thankful to God for what we had received and are getting. If you ask anyone what do you want, they will request for peace, love, power and happiness. A human can give upto a limit, but if we can achieve it through deep meditation with our Lord and all our problems will be solved ..

WATS EXACTLY VEGETARIANISM AND NON-VEGETARINISM?

This was an answer given by a sage to the question - wats the difference between vegetarian and non-vegetarian food? There are two kinds of life as animate and inanimate. Man,beats, birds etc.are animate while trees and plants are inanimate. Fruits ripen and fall themselves;branches and leaves of a tree do falls but they get regenerated again. Many plants can be propagated by cutting and others can be transplanted. But no limb of an animal or bird can grow by cutting. All living beings are made by any or all of the 5 elements-earth,water,fire,air and sky. In man,all these are present clearly and predominantly. Only 4 of them, earth, water, air and fire are present in animals;only 3-air,water and fire present in birds;2 of them ,earth and fire are present in insects. But only water is present in fruits and vegetables;the rest 4 of them are in sleeping state in plants and trees. Saints and sages don’t pluck fruit; they take only which has fallen down themselves. Minimum damage to life is the basic criterion here. It is better to carry 10kgs of sin by eating vegetarian food instead of 1000 tonnes of sin by eating meat .

REALISATION OF SAIBABA BY BHAKTA PANT

Since I am an ardent devotee of Sainath i will be posting about his miracles, life, teachings etc… then and there..so don’t miss it...Following is a story of how a devotee realized Shridi Saibaba’s love and greatness…
Once a disciple of another Sadh-Guru named Pant met his relatives and friends who were about to go to Shridi. They asked him to accompany them but he had no mind to go. Since he was requested by everyone he wasn’t able to say nay. So,he then took his guru’s permission and started. They all reached the Masjid in Shridi. On seeing the concourse of devotees assembled for Baba’s worship,Pant got fits and fell senseless. His relatives got frightened. With Baba’s grace and pitchers of water which they poured over his head he regained consciousness. The omniscent Baba, knowing that he is a disciple of another guru assured him fearlessness and confirmed his faith on his own guru by saying these words to him, ”Come what may, leave not,but stick to your own Bolster(support,i.e Guru)and ever remain steady, always at-one-ment(in union) with him”. Pant then understood that Sainath is an apostle of God….

OUR NATION HAILS THE BOXER KING

Though the Beijing Olympics has come to an end,our country still has many reasons to celebrate it with pomp and ponder. That’s because of the grotesque performance of our sportspersons in China. If you had noticed the ovation of our achievers back home, you would have found that ,a medal-less boxer Akhil Kumar was hailed for his laborious deeds on the big stage. He emerged as a true winner, if one has to go by the boisterous welcome he received at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on the d-day. He hogged all the limelight instead of the Bronze medalists Sushil Kumar and Vijender Singh. The reason behind this being that of his stunning and outstanding wits with which he played his way. Our people are all praises and wishes for him. After noticing this my thought was like…..’What other investment apart from hardwork and smartwork put together in appropriate proportions costs so little but pays so much in return??’

Mobile Phone Emergencies

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

1. Emergency

The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.
Also in Australia , the Australian emergency number 000 can be dialled whilst your mobile phone keyboard is locked. This is another reason why 000 receives so many false emergency calls!

2. Hidden Battery Power

Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.

3. How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone!:

star-hash-zero-six-hash

* # 0 6 #

A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones. Not only the above, but also in Australia your stolen phone is added to a "Stolen Mobile Phone" database, so if your phone is found later on it can be returned to you.
